We welcome many possibilities that are able to help our residents with more than just supplies. Small change can make a meaningful difference for moms and babies at Star of the North Maternity Home.
Our Change for Change program is an easy way for individuals, families, churches, classrooms, businesses, and community groups to support our mission. Simply choose an empty mason jar, bowl, bottle, or other container and begin filling it with your spare change. When your container is full, donate the change to Star of the North. Every coin helps provide a safe and supportive home where moms can care for their babies, work toward their goals, and build a more stable future. Start a jar at home, at work, or with a group and invite others to join you. Small change grows strong families. Sponsor a Day at Star of the North
For $100, you can help provide one day of housing for a mom and her baby at Star of the North Maternity Home. Our Sponsor a Day program gives you the opportunity to choose a meaningful date and turn it into a gift of hope. Sponsor a day to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, honor your mother or someone special, remember a loved one, or simply choose a day that has significance to you. Your sponsorship helps provide more than a place to sleep. It supports the safe, stable environment Star of the North provides as moms care for their children, work toward their goals, and prepare for a more independent future. You pick the day. Your gift helps make a new beginning possible.

Donate Items
Items are needed at both the Twin Ports location and the Iron Range location. Donations can be made via each location’s Wishlists.
Most Needed Items:
- Gift cards to Walmart, Target, Walgreens, grocery stores, gas stations, Super One or Amazon
- Baby Monitor with video (Twin Ports)
- Diapers (All Sizes)
- Household items including: wipes, paper towels, toilet paper, Kleenex, Dreft & laundry detergent, dryer sheets, dish soap (for hand washing and dishwasher), liquid hand soap, toilet paper, natural cleaning supplies, and batteries.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept the following items:
- Used Car Seats or High Chairs or Playpens
- Used Cribs or Mattresses or Pads
- Used Stuffed Animals
- Used Safety gates older than a few years old.
Meal Support:
- With busy moms & babies, we can always use all the help we can get – and so can the moms!
